Choosing Cloud Computing as a New Career Path and Growing Into a Cloud and DevOps Professional With Tech4Dev
Two years of applications and interviews left Adeola Daniel-Oriazowan exhausted. But the Digital Skills for the Workplace program introduced him to Cloud Computing and gave him directions that would eventually grow into a career in Cloud and DevOps.

My name is Adeola Daniel-Oriazowan, and finding the career path that truly felt right for me was a journey.

After NYSC, I spent over two years applying for jobs and attending interviews before eventually securing a Customer Service role. While I was grateful to have a job, the work soon became monotonous, and I began searching for a career that would challenge me, give me room to grow, and provide a clearer sense of direction.

My turning point came when I discovered Tech4Dev’s Digital Skills for the Workplace (DSFW) program. After being selected, I was introduced to different technology career paths and had the opportunity to explore where I could fit within the industry. I chose the Cloud Computing track, a decision that would become an important step in changing the direction of my career.

The program gave me my first structured exposure to technology and helped me see Cloud Computing as a career I could realistically pursue. Through the training, I developed the technical knowledge and confidence I needed to make the transition from Customer Service into technology. What initially began as an opportunity to learn a digital skill gradually became a clear career path for me.

Since completing the program, I have continued to grow professionally and have built a career in Cloud and DevOps. I now work with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and production systems. The journey has since given me greater responsibilities and opportunities to continue learning and developing my expertise within the technology industry.
